Adult Social Care Plan 2026 - 2029
Overview
Our vision in Adult Social Care is to put residents at the heart of what we do and our ambition is to work together to make a positive difference. We are developing our Adult Social Care plan for the next three years and would like to hear your views.

What is the Adult Social Care plan?
This plan (sometimes called a strategy) sets out:
- what we want to focus on
- what our priorities are
- how we will work with you
We want to understand what you need and what matters most to you, so our priorities support you to live an independent, connected and fulfilling life. Making this plan work is a shared effort. By working together with health partners, community and voluntary organisations, and care providers, we can achieve our long-term goals.
How we listen to people
We regularly listen to people across the borough to understand what matters most. We hear this through a range of engagement activities, this includes feedback from local groups, our annual surveys for people who access care and support and their carers, as well as learnings from our recent CQC inspection. This feedback is actively shaping the development of this plan, helping to ensure our priorities reflect what people have told us matters most.
We’d like to hear your thoughts on our priorities and we welcome responses from everyone. We are particularly keen to hear from people who currently use, or have previously used, Adult Social Care Services, and from those who care for someone who does.
