Kingston Let’s Talk Residents' Panel

Closes 28 Aug 2026

Opened 9 Aug 2023

Overview

Join our Kingston Let’s Talk Residents’ Panel and share your views and experiences to help improve our services and continue to make Kingston a great place to live, work or study.

A residents' panel is a group of people who are actively willing to engage with us either face-to-face, over the phone or online to help improve council services and our borough.

We run the Kingston Residents’ Panel to consult with, carry out research and inform people on matters of local interest and importance.

We want to hear your views, so join the panel and share valuable insights, information and opinions on local issues and help influence council decision-making.

As a panellist, you will be invited several times a year to take part in activities such as:

  • completing surveys on local issues and initiatives
  • participation in a discussion group – such as on cultural events
  • the council’s research – for example by sharing your views on poster designs for raising public awareness
  • spreading important messages – for example sharing information with local groups or displaying posters in your local sports club

Recent workshops with the panel have been held to help shape the waste, recycling and street cleaning contract and another took place to inform the new economic development strategy for the borough.

You must live within the Royal Borough of Kingston area and be aged 18 or above to join the panel.

If you require this information in a different format, please contact engagement@kingston.gov.uk or you can call the council's contact centre on 0208 547 5000 and ask for someone in the Engagement team to call you back.

How to join

You can join by completing the online form.

How long would I be a Residents' panel member for?

The panel has ongoing membership, but you can leave at any stage.

What if I change my mind about being on the panel?

If you join the panel but then decide you no longer want to take part, just let us know!

You can leave the Resident's panel any time you like, and you do not have to take part in all the surveys or focus groups we run. If you want to leave you can do this by emailing engagement@kingston.gov.uk
