Your ideas for New and Old Malden

Closes 31 Dec 2025

Opened 8 Oct 2024

Overview

We want to hear your ideas!

New and Old Malden is one of four Neighbourhoods in the borough and is made up of five wards:

  • New Malden Village
  • Motspur Park and Old Malden East
  • Coombe Vale
  • Old Malden
  • Green Lane and St James

The New and Old Malden community plan was created using ideas which were submitted by people who live, work or study in the Neighbourhood. The plan is used by the council's Neighbourhood Committee to help it make improvements in the area and in particular how funding from the Community Grant Programme is used.

We are updating the community plan and want to find out how you think we can continue to make the neighbourhood an even better place to live, work and study.

What’s our vision?

To make New and Old Malden Neighbourhood an even better place to live, work and play by engaging with residents on community-driven activities which improve quality of life and benefit health and wellbeing.

We want to hear from you if you have a project that helps us achieve our aims of:

  • developing, promoting and enhancing the neighbourhood’s parks, streets and open spaces
  • identifying and implementing innovative local projects which benefit and attract residents and businesses into the area
  • encouraging the setting up of community hubs and forums, ‘Friends of’ groups and resident associations.
