Ely Close and Cambridge Avenue Proposed Parking Schemes
Overview
Our vision is to create a cleaner, greener Kingston and our streets play a major role in this plan. We want everyone to feel our streets are spaces where they can breathe clean air, walk safely and feel connected to the local community.
Several reports and a petition were received regarding commuter parking issues on Ely Close and Cambridge Avenue.
To address this problem the Council is proposing to introduce either Single Yellow Lines on Ely Close and Cambridge Avenue or controlled parking using a Permit Parking Area scheme.
More details on these proposed measures can be found in the following pages and drawing plans can be found below (see "Related " section Option 1 Drawing: Single Yellow Line Restrictions and Option 2 Drawing: Parking Permit Restrictions).
You will also be able to tell us what you think about the options, and your experiences of parking in the local area. This consultation will close on Thursday 24th October 2024, at 23:59.
Option 1
Introduction of Single Yellow Lines with hours of operation to discourage all day parking
Option 2
Introduction of a Permit Parking Area. A permit needs to be displayed in your vehicle during operational hours
Permits
Information on these and charges can be found on Kingston Councils Website, there is a link below (see "Related" section: Information on Parking Permits).
