Kingston Riverside: Continuing to improve accessibility

Event overview

As we continue to shape and improve Kingston Riverside, we want to hear from people who live, work or study in Kingston upon Thames and use the riverside regularly. We’d like to understand how it could become an even more welcoming, accessible and enjoyable place for people of all ages.

We are inviting up to 15 people to take part in a series of four workshops including a Riverside Walk Audit. Together, participants will explore the riverside, share their experiences and identify:

• What works well
• What could be improved
• Where people experience barriers to using the riverside
• What could make the area easier, safer and more enjoyable to use
• Which further improvements should be prioritised

We will expore topics including walking routes, seating and places to rest, crossings, accessibility, wayfinding, green spaces and opportunities to meet and spend time with others.

Your experiences and ideas will be brought together into recommendations for the Council to consider as part of the future transformation of Kingston Riverside.

We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experiences with us. As a thank you for your time and contribution, participants will receive a £20 voucher for each session they attend, with tea and coffee provided.

The sessions will take place on:

• Thursday 15 October
• Thursday 22 October
• Thursday 5 November 
• Thursday 12 November

from 10:30am to 12:00pm, at The Gallery, Rose Theatre, 24–26 High St, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1HL.

Please only register if you are able to attend all four sessions.

We will be accepting submissions up to the 4th of October and will notify successful applicants by the 8th of October.
