How to respond to this consultation

  1. Tell us which part of the plan you are commenting on

  2. Say whether you think it is legally compliant and/ or sound

  3. Explain your reasons

  4. Suggest any changes (if needed)

  5. Upload supporting evidence (optional)

  6. Tell us if you want to take part in a hearing

You will need to submit a separate response for each issue or part of the plan you want to comment on. You can submit a maximum of 10 times. If you wish to provide more comments, you must complete the form again.

Can I respond anonymously?

No, we can’t accept anonymous responses. This is because all responses are part of a formal public examination of the Local Plan. The Planning Inspector and others will need to know who has made representations to ensure a fair and effective examination.

Your name and comments will be published (including on the Council’s website), but your contact details won’t be.

Kingston Council will use your information only for preparing the Local Plan. Your response will be shared with the Government and the Planning Inspector. For more details, see our full privacy notice.

A copy of all comments received will be made available to the Planning Inspectorate and to the person appointed by the Secretary of State to conduct the examination (i.e. the Inspector). All comments will be ‘made available’ in line with the Regulations (The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 – Regulations 20, 22 and 35).  This includes publication on the Council’s website.
